Dayve Hawk's project Memory Tapes has one album out, 2009's fantastic Seek Magic, an effort of dream-dance rhythms perfecting the distances between objective voice and subjective emotion. His next full-length effort is due in July, an album he describes as “keyboard-based psychedelic girl group songs, a sort of Motown suicide note” -- could we expect anything less?
