The booking of Steely Dan at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater stirred some discussion in the office centering around the younger music lovers wondering who they are. To those of us who came of age in the 70's it was like being asked if Genesis was better with Peter Gabriel, or who Syd Barrett was. Well, maybe that doesn't make the point unless you came of age in the 70's, but still. So, grabbing the nearest iPhone we began scrolling through the incredible catalog of the Steely Dan repertory. "Yeah, I've always love that song" "oh man that one is great" "that's them, too?!?!" was the gist of the ensuing conversation as the light bulbs went off.
