Regular readers know I'm prone to pick a new favorite album of all time every few weeks. This is my new favorite ever, and this time I almost truly mean it. It is so fantastic that I'm redundantly enraptured in blissful joy listening to it. This album came out in January so I'm a tad late listening to it, and indeed Four Tet came out in 1999 and I only found him when Rough Trade was playing it during my vacation visit -- but it's all still there and will be so long as we have music, so it's really never too late. Thirty or so reviews are aggregated at Metacritic -- a commentary in itself. As you may surmise, I agree with those at the very upper end of the rating scales.
