As I await his new CD as discussed in yesterday's post, I am filled with abundant joy and wonder and hope re-listening to Christian Scott's last studio CD, "Anthem." I cut my jazz teeth on Miles and Coltrane, and will always be true to them and their prophesies, but I'm finding a new depth of love for this truest of American idioms in Christian Scott.
